Exodus 10:1–2 (NIV)
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these signs of mine among them,
that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.”

Every story in the Bible carries layers of divine wisdom — not just history, but living truth. In Exodus 10:1–2, God speaks directly to Moses before sending another plague upon Egypt. These words reveal more than judgment; they uncover God’s purpose, patience, and plan to teach His people who He truly is.
This passage shows that even in moments of struggle, God is always in control. What seems like delay or resistance often becomes the stage for His power, glory, and faithfulness to shine through.
🔥 1. God’s Purpose in Resistance
“I have hardened his heart…”
At first glance, this might sound harsh — why would God harden Pharaoh’s heart? Yet, this verse teaches us a vital truth: God sometimes allows resistance to reveal His greater purpose.

The Israelites came to understand that their God was not distant or weak. He was the living God who commands creation, parts seas, and keeps His promises.

Moses could have given up. Pharaoh’s repeated rejections could have crushed his spirit. But Moses stayed obedient because he trusted that God was doing something greater than what he could see.
Every “no” from Pharaoh brought Israel closer to their deliverance. Every delay revealed another aspect of God’s unmatched power.
Likewise, the obstacles in your life may be the very thing God uses to show you His authority. What looks like defeat is often a setup for divine victory.
